Sculpting spaces in Heritage Context...
"Aurangabad Railway Station"
Located in the tourism capital of Maharashtra, Aurangabad offers two important Unesco sites, Ajantha and Ellora. In designing this railway station, the design concept was aimed at making it tourist-friendly. Having welcoming transportation facilities helps to boost the city's tourism.
The building is embedded with the heritage beauty of Ajanta and Ellora caves. The design integrates murals, arches, canopies and motifs inspired by local architecture. The Station facilities include lifts, escalators, computerized reservations, waiting rooms, retiring rooms, vegetarian and nonvegetarian refreshments, as well as a kiosks.
